Does the Spring Lawn Fertilizer also control weeds?

This question can be answered with “yes” and with “no.”

The turbogrün spring lawn fertiliser does not contain a weed killer. So it does not act directly against weeds. However, it can help indirectly by taking space away from weeds.

Regular fertilising strengthens the grass plants. The lawn becomes denser, closes gaps faster and takes light, space and nutrients away from weeds. This makes it harder for weeds to spread in the lawn.

In addition, fertilising also makes existing weeds grow more vigorously. This can be put to use: mowing regularly at intervals of about 3 to 7 days cuts the weeds back again and again. Some weed species cope poorly with such frequent cutting and decline over time.

Instead, we recommend treating weeds in a targeted way, following the instructions for use of the product in question and only on the affected plants.
