Mold After Using the turbogrün Lawn Aerator—Is This a Cause for Concernturbogrün

After applying the turbogrün lawn aerator, mushrooms may occasionally appear on your lawn. This may look unusual at first, but it's a completely normal process and can even be a good sign.

The mushrooms show that decomposition has started: microorganisms break down the organic components of the lawn aerator. This stimulates soil life and helps your lawn develop.

The mushrooms usually disappear on their own after a short time. If you'd like to get rid of them sooner, mow the lawn with a mower that has a grass collector. This picks up the mushrooms and reduces the spread of further spores.

The mushrooms are usually harmless to the lawn. However, lawn mushrooms can't be reliably identified and should not be eaten. So make sure children and pets don't nibble on them, and if in doubt, simply remove them. The instructions on the packaging still apply.
