The turbogrün hand spreader is the ideal tool for anyone who wants to apply lawn seed or fertilizer evenly, precisely, and with control on small to medium-sized areas. Thanks to its compact and ergonomic design, it fits comfortably in your hand and ensures an even spread—without the need for electricity or batteries.

Adjustment Knob & Application Rates
The hand spreader features a convenient 5-level adjustment dial that lets you regulate the flow rate of the spreading material. You can also adjust the spreading width—up to about 3 meters—by changing the speed at which you turn the crank.
Recommended guidelines for each level:
Level 1: approx. 10 g/m²
Level 2: approx. 10–20 g/m²
Level 3: approx. 20–30 g/m²
Level 4: approx. 30–40 g/m²
Level 5: approx. 40–50 g/m²
The actual application rate also depends on running speed and pedaling cadence.
How to Use the Hand Shaker Properly
Pour grass seed or fertilizer into the container
Set the desired level using the adjustment knob
While walking, press the shutter button and turn the crank at the same time
Guide the spreader evenly
Avoid overlapping spread patterns to prevent over-fertilization or bare spots
Important Note
The Turbogrün hand spreader is intended exclusively for lawn seed and fertilizer.
For sand or lawn lime, we recommend the turbo spreader, as these materials can damage or clog the manual spreader.
Cleaning & Care
Empty the container completely after use
Clean with a dry cloth or, if necessary, with a slightly damp cloth
Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion or clumping
