How do I remove common bentgrass (Poa trivialis) from my lawn?

Although common foxtail dries up during the hot season, if it is not controlled early on, it will lead to bare patches in the lawn during the summer.

To reduce the infestation, we recommend vigorous scarifying, followed by immediate reseeding. In cases of severe infestation, a non-selective herbicide can be used; however, this will also remove the “good” lawn grasses. If the infested area is not too large, the affected section can be cut out. Then fill the holes with soil and reseed.
