How is the Turbogrün Water Manager applied (to existing lawns)?

Existing lawns can be treated with the Turbogrün Water Manager 1–3 times a year, depending on the mechanical preparation performed beforehand. After application, the granules slowly work their way into deeper soil layers, where they provide long-lasting improvements to the soil’s water and air balance. In the upper soil layers, the Wassermanager also ensures reliable soil aeration.

There are two tried-and-true methods of application:

Apply after aerating or scarifying

After aerating or dethatching, apply the Turbogrün Water Manager evenly using a spreader, such as the Turbospreader or a spreader cart.

  • Dosage: 100 g/m²

  • Spread the granules evenly over the surface

  • Optionally, the lawn can also be sanded with quartz sand

This method is particularly well-suited for regular maintenance and improves water absorption in the upper soil layers.

Application After Aeration

The Turbogrün Water Manager is most effective after aeration.

  • Aerating with a Hand-Held or Powered Aerator

  • Working depth: approx. 7–10 cm

  • Then apply Turbogrün Wassermanager

  • Dosage: 100 g/m²

  • At the same time, work in quartz sand (grain size 0.2–2 mm)

For even distribution, we recommend then spreading the granules with a Lawn rake or the Lawn Brush one Spindelmähers (e.g., Allett). This allows the water-managing agent to reach the root zone directly, where it can be fully effective.
