Which lawn seed mix is best for sunny and dry areas?

For sunny locations and dry soil, we recommend a special dry-grass seed mix. This mix is optimally suited for challenging conditions with plenty of sun and little water.

Benefits of the dry lawn seed mix

• Deep root growth
  The grasses in this mix develop roots that go significantly deeper than those in conventional lawn seed mixtures. This allows the lawn to absorb water from deeper soil layers even during dry spells.

• High drought resistance
  Even during prolonged dry spells, the lawn often remains a rich green, whereas traditional lawn mixes dry out without special adjustments.

• Lower water consumption
  Because the roots run deep, the lawn requires less water overall.

Germination Time and Development

The grasses in this mix grow a little more slowly.
It usually takes 14–21 days for a continuous layer of grass to form.

If any gaps are still visible afterward, it is recommended that you reseed.

Important Information

• The grasses have slightly wider leaves than traditional lawn seed mixes

• Other varieties are therefore better suited for filling in gaps later on, such as the "Turbogrün" lawn reseed mix.
