Product Instructions: Turbogrün Fall Fertilizer
Instructions for using the turbogrün Fall Lawn Fertilizer
To ensure your lawn is optimally prepared for winter, you should apply the Turbogrün Fall Lawn Fertilizer correctly and at the right time.
Preparation Before Fertilizing
The lawn grass should be dry
Mow the lawn beforehand
Our tip: Aerate the lawn before fertilizing so that the nutrients can penetrate the soil more effectively
Fertilizer Application
It is best to apply fertilizer using a centrifugal spreader (e.g., Turbostreuer Level 5) or a spreader trailer
Fill the spreader outside the lawn area
Weigh the required amount in advance
Dosage: 20 g/m²
Watering After Fertilizing
The best time to fertilize is right before a rain shower
Alternatively, water the lawn at a rate of 10–15 l/m²
The Best Time for Fall Fertilization
We recommend two applications:
1st Dose: Mid-September
2. Application: Depending on the weather, from late October to early November
As an alternative to the second fall application of fertilizer, you can also use Turbogrün Stress Manager.
Why Fall Fertilization Is So Important
The Turbogrün Fall Lawn Fertilizer contains a high percentage of potassium:
strengthens cell walls
makes the lawn sturdy and winter-hardy
increases resistance to cold
protects against fungal diseases
Without fall fertilization, the lawn will have a much harder time getting through the winter and will start the spring off weaker.
Be aware of the ground temperature
The soil temperature should remain at a constant of at least 8 °C
A meat thermometer, for example, is suitable for taking the temperature
A few cool fall days are no problem—the ground retains heat for several days
Manual Fertilization (for Experienced Gardeners)
Wear gloves to avoid skin contact
Spread the fertilizer evenly
Sprinkle once lengthwise and once crosswise, using half the recommended amount each time
Do not overlap application paths to avoid over-fertilization
