Product Instructions: Lawn Lime

turbogrün lawn lime helps regulate the pH of your soil and creates optimal conditions for healthy lawn growth. To get the full effect from the lime, there are a few things you should keep in mind when applying it.

Preparation: check the pH
Before liming, we recommend determining the pH of your soil.

  • Home test kits from the shops are an option

  • A professional lab soil analysis is even more precise, and you can order one from us too

That way you know exactly whether liming makes sense and how much to use.

The right time to lime
The best time to apply it is in spring and autumn. However, turbogrün lawn lime can be applied all year round.

Applying turbogrün lawn lime

  • Mow the lawn first

  • The grass should be dry

  • Weigh out the amount you need before filling the spreader

Dosage:

  • Standard: 100 g/m²

  • Or the amount based on your soil analysis results

Please stick to the recommended amount.

Spreading:

  • Spread evenly with a rotary spreader or the Turbostreuer (setting 5)

  • Experienced users can also spread the lime by hand
    → Walk over the lawn once lengthwise and once crosswise, using half the dosage each time

After liming:

  • Ideally, apply it before forecast rain

  • Alternatively, water the lawn thoroughly afterwards with 10–15 l/m²

Benefits of turbogrün lawn lime

  • 100 % obtained from drinking water softening

  • Finely granulated and therefore dust-free

  • Falls deep into the lawn sward

  • Does not smear

  • Contains magnesium and boron

  • Carbonate lawn lime to promote soil fertility

  • The pH does not rise above 7

Waiting period between applying lawn lime and other products

turbogrün Lawn Lime can be easily combined with other products:

  • No waiting period is required after applying fertilizer or performing other maintenance tasks

  • Lime can be applied immediately before or after fertilizing

However, it is best to apply the lime a few weeks before fertilizing. This allows the soil’s pH level to stabilize, enabling the lawn to better absorb the nutrients from the fertilizer afterward. However, this is not absolutely necessary.

The following spreader settings are based on feedback from our customers. They are not officially verified, so we recommend that you check the settings yourself before use and adjust them if necessary. Use is at your own risk.

  • Gardena 415: Level 3-4

  • Gardena Classic 300: 4 Heaters

  • Gardena XL Disc Spreader: Levels 4–5

  • Wolf Battery-Powered Hand Spreader: Level 4

  • Wolf WE 330: Level 6

  • Wolf WE 430: Level 4-5

  • Substral EasyGreen Universal Centrifugal Spreader: Level 24
