Product Instructions: Extra Power

Turbogrün Extra Power is a highly concentrated supplemental fertilizer designed to promote rapid greening and provide an extra growth boost. Because of its potency, careful application is especially important.

Preparation Before Fertilizing

  • The lawn should be dry

  • Mow beforehand, removing no more than ⅓ of the blade length

  • Make sure your mower blades are sharp (sickle or cylinder mowers) to avoid stressing the lawn

Dosage

  • Maximum 20 g/m²

  • It's better to use a little less to avoid burns

  • Weigh out the appropriate amount of fertilizer in advance based on the size of the lawn

⚠️ Extra Power is very effective—less is more in this case.

  • The following are suitable:

    • Rotary spreaders, e.g., Turbospreader (Level 4)

    • Spreader

Tip for Optimal Spreader Settings

  • Fill the spreader outside the lawn

  • Mark off a 1 m² area (optionally with plastic sheeting)

  • Apply Extra Power evenly

  • Weigh the grit: approx. 20 g = correct setting

  • If the amount is too high → reduce the level

👉 The following applies to spreaders:
It's better to mow at a very low height and go over the lawn a second time if necessary.

Manual Fertilization (for experienced users only)

  • Wear gloves

  • Spread Extra Power evenly

  • Once lengthwise, once crosswise

  • ½ the dosage per round

  • Do not overlap application paths to avoid over-fertilization

After Fertilizing

  • Best: Apply just before it rains

  • Alternatively, water the lawn thoroughly at a rate of 10–15 l/m²

Waiting Times & Combining with Other Products

Extra Power & Other Fertilizers

  • For slow-release fertilizer or organic fertilizer → 4–5 weeks between applications, regardless of the order

  • Use this as a guide to determine when the lawn is losing its green color

Extra Power & Lawn Lime

  • Possible at the same time

  • If necessary, reapply lime after 4–5 weeks, as Extra Power can slightly acidify the soil

Fall

  • Do not apply in the fall to ensure the lawn is optimally prepared for winter dormancy

Extra Power & Weed Killer

  • First, apply Extra Power

  • Apply weed killer after 1–2 weeks

All other turbogrün products

  • No waiting time required

Recommendation: Take a soil sample in the spring

Especially before the first application in the spring, we recommend a soil analysis to determine the actual nutrient requirements.
