Preparation Before Fertilizing

  • The lawn grass should be dry

  • Trim the lawn by about one-third beforehand

  • Make sure the spindle or blade on your lawn mower is sharp to avoid putting unnecessary stress on the lawn

Even Distribution & Irrigation

  • Weigh out the total amount needed in advance, based on the size of the lawn.

  • Spread the fertilizer evenly

  • The best time to apply it is right before a rain shower

  • Alternatively, water the lawn afterward at a rate of 10–15 liters per square meter

The organic lawn fertilizer is best applied using a centrifugal spreader (e.g., Turbostreuer, setting 5) or a spreader cart.

  • Fill the spreader outside the lawn area

  • Mark off a 1 m² area on a level surface (optionally, lay down a sheet of plastic)

  • Apply organic lawn fertilizer evenly

  • Collect the spread material and weigh it

👉 Approximate value: about 100 g/m²

  • If it's too much or too little, adjust the spreader setting accordingly

Manual Fertilization (for Experienced Gardeners)

  • Spread the fertilizer evenly by hand

  • Once lengthwise and once crosswise, each time using half the dose

  • Do not overlap spray patterns to avoid excessive concentrations

With turbogrün organic lawn fertilizer, over-fertilization is virtually impossible.
If the lawn turns brown anyway (“scorch”), the dosage was too high.

Recommendation: Take a soil sample in the spring

Especially before the first fertilization in the spring, we recommend having a soil test done to determine your lawn's actual nutrient needs.
