Product instructions: Reseeding - lawn reseeding done right!

If the lawn is not dense or has gaps and needs to be revitalized in spring, reseeding is recommended. A dense lawn has fewer problems with weeds and for a lush green lawn, the lawn must be dense.

The individual steps:

• First, the weeds are removed.

• TheLawn airedor scarified, we recommend scarifying.

• Sprinkle the lawn seed on the cultivated soil as indicated on the packet.

• DieLawn seedshould be lightly covered with turf soil. 0.5 centimeters is sufficient.

• Now the seed and soil can be pressed down with a roller;

• The lawn seed is now watered well, after which it is important to keep the surface continuously moist for 14-20 days. In this case, 1 l/m² per watering is completely sufficient, as only the surface needs to be kept moist.

• Certain lawn seeds, especially high-quality seeds from the Profiline series (RSM), take up to 20 days to germinate.

• Mowing is allowed again from a height of 5 to 10 centimeters, but initially only the tips, i.e. a maximum of ⅓ of the blade length, should be cut.

A few more tips from the pros: 

• If the lawn is to become really dense, the whole area should be reseeded every year.
