How does leaf spot develop?

There are various reasons for leaf spot disease. Persistent moisture is one reason, but so is cutting the grass too deeply or one-sided fertilization. In any case, the grass is weakened;

The disease can occur all year round when temperatures are between 10 and 30 °C. It can be recognized by white-yellowish or brown spots on the lawn leaves.

As a preventative measure, it helps if

  • is mowed regularly (1-2 times a week)

  • lawn thatch is minimized or avoided, e.g. through the use of Turbogreen lawn aerator.

  • good permeability is ensured by scarifying or aerating the soil.

  • the soil is fertilized regularly (every two months)

  • attention is paid to good irrigation.
