A whitish-grey, cotton-like, mealy, moldy coating appears on the blades of grass. With advanced infestation, small black dots may form in the middle of the coating. This disease spreads preferentially in spring and summer when the weather is warm and humid. Ultimately, all affected leaves will die.
Infestation-promoting factors:
Lack of light
Drought stress
High humidity
Little air circulation
Soil temperatures between 12 and 16 °C
Preventive measures:
Balanced and even nutrient supply
Optimize the irrigation technique, irrigate in the early morning hours to allow the crop to dry quickly
Regular mowing
Reduce stress
Improve lighting conditions
